[COLLEGE WORK] GAME ENGINE IN DIRECT X 9 AND C++

This is a 3d game-engine demo made in C++ and Direct X 9. It has dynamic per-pixel lighting with multiple lights and real-time shadows, a particle system that is used for the moving clouds and water, post effects like gray scale when the player enters an irradiated area, skinned mesh, axis-aligned collision system and FMOD for sound. For this I did the programming and another person did the art.

This demo is set in a post-apocalyptic future where humans have turned into light-fearing mutants (hence the name Luminophobes). This game has the player working towards the hero's quest to save his mutant turned wife and cure her. The player has to avoid mutants by shining a light into their eyes and solve puzzles. Throughout the game, players find survivor notes which act as collectibles and also give an insight into the life of other people who have not become mutants yet.
